With tomorrow being Monday, most of us have our beloved chest day to start the week. I cannot explain it, but there is just something about starting your week off on with a bar above your head on the flat bench.
Whether you are capable of benching 135 lbs or 315 lbs, it has the same feeling for everyone. The want and need to push that bar up after a long week is what keeps us all going back on Monday morning, or evening.
For me, my chest routine is simple enough and is made up of four separate lifts (flat barbell bench, incline dumbbell bench, push-ups, cable flys). Simple, but effective.
Everyone has their own routine for chest, but everyone has the same feeling when they get there on chest day. There is just something about chest day that differs it from every other day of your routine. We all dread the thought of legs day, and shoulders and back just do not do it for most of us.
We here at Trial and Lift want to know what drives you to go back to the gym every Monday. Is it the thought of bench pressing? Is it because you know you have to do it to reach your goal? Tell us what it that keeps you motivated and how the beloved chest day feels for you.
