Feeling the pressure to lose weight without the time to execute a perfectly defined, possibly trending diet plan? The path to a new diet can be as simple as watching what you eat. Cutting your meals into portions can help regulate the amount of nutrients, fat, protein, and everything else that is needed to keep your body functioning properly. By doing so, you eliminate the pressures of following a strict diet plan because you will be monitoring your food intake on your terms.
To begin, always start the day off with breakfast. Something small, such as a banana or cereal can suffice. The important thing is to have something in your stomach to get your metabolism kick-started. Once you start with breakfast, lunch (a ham, turkey, or roast beef sandwich) and dinner (meat, or protein substitute with a salad side) will have to follow. Getting the recommended three square meals a day will keep your body active, even if you are sitting down.
The portions of each meal should merge a combination of proteins and carbs; broken up so that nutrients from each groups can be balanced. The heaviest intake of your carbohydrates should be divided between breakfast and lunch. If it was left to be consumed all at once during dinner, there would not be enough time for the food to digest before bedtime. Whereas the daily activities—no matter how big or small – will give the body enough time to process.
The pounds won’t fly off, but they will begin to shed. It takes a matter of finding the right foods that will sustain you, but not overwhelm your body. It will take some additional research to help you explore your meal options if you do not want to feel as if you are eating the same food every day.
If you find this method of weighing your food making you too self-conscious of what you eat, it is perfectly fine to change tactics and find an actual diet plan that works for you. I definitely do not want to insinuate that what works for me will work for you. However, it is not a problem to experiment or combine both a diet plan and portion balancing method to create a healthier you.
